Carl loves to say good morning to the pre-school director, "Miss" Betty. Once he spots her, he says it, umprompted ... "Good morning, Miss Betty" in that sweet little Carl voice that he has. Yesterday, she came over and asked him for a hug, too. He backed right up to her so she could reach him around his backpack. Today, his therapist said Betty walked into their class and Carl said good morning to her, but she didn't hear him. Ashlie said he kept repeating it until she did turn, acknowledge and respond. Then, he smiled!
Betty even once told me that when she does enter that class, that Carl is the only child who says hello and uses her name. So, I know she is impressed with that. You know, it never hurts to keep the 'principal' on your side, right?
