I can't let this season pass by without making some kind of note about it. This is the 3rd azalea season we have had since moving back here in 2007, but this is by far the most brilliant one yet!
I have been driving around and actually shooting pictures out the window just to try to capture what it looks like as you simply go about your daily routine. These flowers are really everywhere. In the fancier or newer neighborhoods, the bushes are smaller and more sculpted. Then, at other homes, they can be as tall as the house! About 50 weeks out of the year, these bushes look like out of control shrubs. but, it is so worth not cutting them back for this display in early spring!

And finally, this little bush is on the side of our home. It isn't visible from the road or from the backyard, but it is worth walking over to see!
