St Baldrick's.... hair today, gone later today

We have had a nice busy Saturday today.  We started our day at the big cemetery downtown on a 2 hour walking tour with my camera club.  We didn't really have much time to stop and take pictures, but I have been there before.  The camera club once got to go at sunrise - hours before the grounds were opened to the public.  We learned some new stories and did take a few pictures.

Then, home for a quick lunch and back out to the St. Baldrick's event.  Carl raised money to donate to the charity and our own hairdresser, who has been cutting his hair his entire life, shaved his head!!!  He has wanted her to do this for so long!  He was so excited to be there!!

Before!!

I do not know what he is reacting to, but check out all that hair on the floor!  All Carl's!

A friend of ours cut her hair to donate to Locks of Love as well.  She did not shave her head, but there was a guy sitting next to her with hair as long as hers... he donated his ponytail and then did get his head shaved!  He looked good!!

After!!

Next, we put some sunscreen on his head and headed over to the berry farm to pick strawberries.

Caught him checking out his hair a few times!  he said, "I can feel the wind on my head!" at one point.  Later, he told us, "I really like my shaved head."  Good thing, Buddy!

Oh - we love picking berries, but we love to eat homemade ice cream, too!

We snacked our way through Costco after and then eventually went out to dinner.  Both kids were exhausted and fell asleep quickly.  Carl was out as soon as his bald head hit the pillow!

Quick recap.....

and a quick flashback....
