bunnies and chicks

Lew had today off from work, so we decided to go to lunch at a favorite diner.  Then, we visited the toy store to collect Gretchen's prize for winning the Lego contest on Monday.  That store has 2 locations in town and later in the day we had an appointment at the other store to hold the baby bunnies and chicks.  They do this event each year and let the kids hold the baby bunnies.  Well, due to the cold winter, this year, baby bunnies are arriving later than in other years.  So far, only 2 babies have been born.  So, they decided that having 2 bunnies being held by all the kids would be too much for them - so the farmer brought baby chicks for the kids to hold and the bunnies were carried around by toy store workers.  We got to pet them and pose for photos with them, of course!  Boy, they are super soft!!  They also brought a mini horse named Blondie who was wearing bunny ears and a bunny tail who hung out on the side walk and let the kids pet her.
