my favorite picture from Grampie's birthday

We came home without telling anyone - and luckily, Annie & Kenny had enough dinner for us, too. You saw it last year, with a longer story even. It is just a great photo - so deserves another showing!

Today when I told Gretchen & Carl that it was Grampie's birthday, Gretchen asked, "But it isn't his birthday anymore because he is in heaven?" We said he would probably have a party in Heaven and I expected a lot more questions, but that was all she asked.
