we disagree with Phil

Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow today, making the prediction of an early spring. You know that March 20th is 6 weeks after February 2nd no matter what. So, potato - potahtoh. 6 more weeks of winter - 6 weeks until spring.

Anyway... in keeping with the spirit of the day, the twins would like to formally disagree with the groundhog. We did in fact see our shadows today. So, our forecast... 6 more weeks of winter.

This is good when you consider that yesterday Gretchen came home from school and told me she hoped the groundhog would see his shadow because she wanted 6 more months of winter so it would stay cold out. Considering that request, 6 more weeks should sound like a good deal!

But, if winter was all as nice as today.... we'd take 6 more months of it!
