Every week the kids study a new letter and every Thursday night their homework is to bring something in on Friday that begins with that letter. Gretchen will argue with you that it is not Show and Tell - rather, it is "Guessing". The item must be in a brown paper bag and they have to have 1 clue to give the class to guess their item.
We do not have to rehash the Show and Tell incident of 2009, do we?
This week is Y week. They are sharing their Guessing item today. We got some yellow popcorn and bagged it up for each kid in the class. The clue? "You can eat it." But, as cool as Carl thinks this item is, it's not the best ever one.
For that, we have to go back to last Friday. Last week was E week. So, on Friday, Carl wrote "Carl's E item" on his brown paper bag and put it in his homework folder with no item in it. His clue? "It's not full, it's _______"
EMPTY!
Creative and nothing special to lose! Best! Show and Tell! Evuh!
That is very clever!
